Salesforce.com consultant jobs vary from company to company, but the common responsibilities running through them include:
- Data Migration from existing system to Salesforce CRM application
- Hands-on configuration and creation of customer apps and complex workflow
- Client interaction in understanding business requirements and working with client member in delivering the project
- Working with other members of larger offshore teams to deliver projects
- Lead technical discussions with client and take ownership for delivery of module(s)
What skills are required of a Salesforce.com Consultant?
In order to be a Salesforce.com Consultant you must be systematic, process driven, extremely logical, and have excellent problem solving skills. You will be able to design and manage the implementation of complex solutions and have a deep fundamental knowledge of data management.
What can you expect to learn?
You will have the chance to enhance your experience in integrating Salesforce CRM applications to other systems, such as SAP. As well as this you will be working with other members of larger offshore teams to deliver projects, leading technical discussions with clients and taking ownership for delivery of module(s). These are skills that you will already obtain and will be improving on.
To certify or not to certify?
Without doubt companies will like people who clearly invest into self-development and this is clearly reflected in the number of Salesforce.com consultant jobs requiring certification. So if you have the means and time to obtain certifications, this will always be a big selling point! There are two main consultant certifications you can take; the Sales Cloud Certification and the Service Cloud Certification.
