Determine to do away with excesses, it seems that enterprises from across the globe are looking to get into shape as they head in to 2014. Keen on taking a firm control over their technology environments, by using technology to build innovation and enhance their clients experience, they have been looking to the consumer market for inspiration on how to deliver a much more user friendly experience.
For starters, think mobile apps. With the improved JavaScript performance, we will see HTML5 really become mainstream, enabling enterprise to leverage use of the development environment. Ultimately it will allow enterprises to expand their user interface and connect with their clients, in a way they are familiar with. Plus, they will also be able to rapidly expand their app offerings, by creating smaller apps that seamlessly fit together, to create a comprehensive user environment. And, by using big data analytics and mobile apps to create unique and personalised user experience, enterprises will build client value, which in itself will be a key brand differentiator.
Enterprises have also been reaping the benefits of gamification, which we are expecting to reach a record high by 2016. It is expected that around 40% of the world’s top companies, will be using gamification as a way to transform how their business operates, focusing on engagement, connecting their employees and influencing business outcomes. Using the same gaming techniques that keep players interested, such as measurable achievements and incentives, enterprises are looking to transform their business and with a predicted growth of $2.8 bn in 2016, they are prepared to invest more than small change.
Enterprises will also be looking to machine-to-machine communications as an ‘on-demand’ service to build better connectivity, increase revenue opportunity and improve operational efficiency. By leveraging this type of machine-to-machine communication, they will be better prepared to meet the demands of their customers, whilst keeping costs low.
There is no doubt that enterprises are keen to put the needs of their clients first, when it comes to shaping up their data processes throughout 2014!
